Adult Program Description

The Peak Adult Program caters to adults who are interested in moving, growing, exploring, and making new friends. Adult classes are for students ages 18+, except the Ballet program that allows adults ages 16+ to participate. The adult program supports students with no experience to a lot of experience. Adult classes are offered throughout the school year and the summer. Adults are encouraged to take one or more classes weekly. We have two studio-wide performance opportunities yearly; Winter Recital & Spring Recital. Adult students are invited to participate but are never required to participate.

Adult Aerial:  This class is for students ages 18 and up. It has an ongoing curriculum. Students meet for one and a half hours each week for the class. The class will work through various progressions of skills meeting students where they are at to encourage skill development.  Absolute beginners to experienced aerialists are welcome!

Adult Ballet: This class is for students ages 16 and up. It has an ongoing curriculum. Students meet for one hour or one and a half hours each week for the class. Adult students can expect to learn the basics of ballet movement in the beginning class with the introduction of center work and simple combinations. The intermediate level will have a full barre and center. The class will be based on the Vaganova syllabus.

Adult Funk: This class is for students ages 18 and up. It has an ongoing curriculum. Students meet for one hour each week for the class. Students will explore several different dance styles and themes each week from 90s hip hop to Super Bowl halftime jazz routines! Each week offers a thorough full-body stretch, a quick workout, and a short dance routine. A good workout for the body and mind! At the end of the semester, we perform in the studio recitals (optional)!

Adult Tap: This class is for students ages 18 and up. It has an ongoing curriculum. Students meet for one hour each week for the class. Adult Tap incorporates technique, musicality, and performance elements to meet students at their level. Students will learn common rhythms and sequences as well as unique choreography.
